When weather forecasts tell us we could have snow or wind, or there is a power outage, here is some information that you need to know. We try to follow the Auburn School District’s decision on school closures or delays. However, once in a while, that is NOT the case.

In the event that VCS is closed due to snow or other emergencies, the Child Care will also be closed. If school is delayed, Child Care will also be delayed.

Our delay schedule is as follows:

8:30 am - Child Care opens

10:45 am - School starts

Preschool & Pre-K will be cancelled

We will communicate the latest weather delay or closure information in the following ways:

• Call the school office at (253) 833-3541 ext. 3 for a recorded message. This is the most reliable place to find up to date information, unless there is a power outage.

• This page will be updated.

• Our Facebook page will be updated.

• An email will be sent to all parents/guardians the morning of a delay or closure (or day before).
